Christmas Songs; Which Is Your Favourite?

We all have a guilty pleasure, especially regarding Christmas songs! But which one gets you in the festive spirit the most?

I’m one of those people who can listen to Christmas songs all year round, but I try not to as I know it isn’t the ‘norm’. Even though sometimes we can get sick of listening to certain songs being on replay all the time every single year, occasionally we revert back to liking them and singing along to them at the top of our lungs. It’s a strange love and hate relationship when you think about it.

Here’s just a few of the ones I love!

Bing Crosby and Marjorie Reynolds – White Christmas

The Pogues – Fairytale Of New York

Boyz II Men – Let It Snow

Frank Sinatra – Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas

Justin Bieber – Mistletoe

Wham! – Last Christmas

Mariah Carey – All I Want For Christmas Is You

  5. “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” is a Christmas song written by the lyricist Kim Gannon and composer Walter Kent and recorded in 1943 by Bing Crosby, who scored a top ten hit with the song. Originally written to honor soldiers overseas who longed to be home at Christmas time, “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” has since gone on to become a Christmas standard.

      1. Yes, it´s unfortunate. A tragedy and I’m still in shock. Lets mourn together and then I´ll buy you dinner in a beautiful Italian restaurant I know. It is not own by the mafia don’t worry.

  8. “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” instantly comes to mind. Don’t know that it’s necessarily my favorite, but something pushed it forward.

    At the other end of the musical spectrum is Handel’s “For Unto Us a Child Is Born.” A holiday favorite for 280 years or so for a reason!

  16. I like a lot of Christmas songs, but they start playing them way too early these days.
    It never seems like Christmas until I hear this one – “Feliz Navidad” by Jose Feliciano 🙂
