Heatwave Wednesday

If you’re in the UK right now, you know the struggle! I need to be in an ice bath 24/7!

    1. Iโ€™d literally die as you said! I canโ€™t even handle English weather when it hits 25 degrees. Iโ€™d live in an air conditioned room all day everyday like a modern-day vampire ๐Ÿ˜‚๐ŸŒš

  1. Clearly, Antonia, you’d appreciate the questions that have vexed my own mind this summer. Such as, “Could I freeze myself into a giant block of ice?” or, “How much trouble would it be to start an avalanche?”

Of course in five or six months’ time, heat and humidity are going sound pretty darned spectacular. Never quite happy, are we?

    1. Iโ€™ll second your avalanche idea! We need a revolution! This heat is just insane! Only very recently, England has started cooling down a bit. But other parts of the world, temperatures are soaring!๐Ÿ˜ฐ๐Ÿ˜ฐ

Ahhhh I know! But Iโ€™d have cold snowy winters days any day over the week, rather than sweaty humid days!๐Ÿ˜‚

      1. Want to read my theory Antonia? No? Sorry, then, I missed your response..

In my experience, winters tend to compensate for the summers that precede them. Thus, hot and dry now means cold and snowy in January. Maybe not much of an issue in the UK, as you tend not to get much snow, but here the continental US, we’re gonna get socked! Awesome when just luxuriating, but much less so when walking or driving.

Please tell me you’re reading this Nature, because this is a perfect opportunity to prove my ideas idiotic.

      2. I share that same theory! I always think if itโ€™s been a scorching summer, itโ€™ll be a snowy beautiful winter, but Iโ€™ve noticed for the past few years in England, that theory has been completely turned on itโ€™s head! Winter really isnโ€™t that snowy or icy anymore even though our summers can be blazing now.๐Ÿ”ฅ
Hopefully, Mother Nature hears my prayers!๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ™

    1. Many are enjoying the heatwave! Has your friend liked it? Iโ€™ve HATED it! This had to have been one of the worst summers for me as itโ€™s just too hot!๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

    1. For some reason I canโ€™t handle the heat. I actually loathe it!๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ If I had the choice Iโ€™d pick winter any day of the week. Does that make me a weirdo? Probably ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

    1. Exactly! I donโ€™t mind heat (even though itโ€™s not my favourite) if thereโ€™s a breeze and some shade, but this summer… itโ€™s been like wham bam thank you maโ€™am! I feel like Iโ€™m in a scorching fire all the time!๐Ÿ˜‚ thankfully itโ€™s starting to cool down!โ„๏ธ

  2. Iโ€™m with you GF I donโ€™t mind it warm cause I like to tan a little but itโ€™s been ridiculously hot here in Michigan Iโ€™ve pretty much given up on makeup during the day! A lot of water ๐Ÿ’ฆ proof eyeliner and mascara cause itโ€™s been so humid lol ๐Ÿ˜‚

    1. Totally! I donโ€™t mind some warmth, but when you sit down and you still sweat, thatโ€™s when the heat is too much for me. You canโ€™t even walk anywhere without sweating buckets, I donโ€™t understand how some find that enjoyable๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚. My idea of heaven would be like the film frozen! But instead of ice everywhere – snow!๐Ÿ˜โ„๏ธ

I know how you feel! Putting in time and energy with makeup, only to be already sweating it off before youโ€™ve even left the door!๐Ÿ˜‚
      Waterproof everything – yessss!๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜ฐ๐Ÿ˜ฐ

    1. Oh my… I feel so sorry for you! Iโ€™m so glad autumn is kicking in already over here!๐Ÿ˜‚โ„๏ธ I canโ€™t bear heat!๐Ÿ˜ฐ

    1. No way๐Ÿ˜ฆ. Thatโ€™s something Iโ€™ll never understand! Iโ€™d rather be shivering in snow compared to sweating in the sun whilst my skin gets burnt!๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜Ÿ This is something weโ€™ll have to disagree on!๐Ÿ˜‚

    1. Autumn is here now and it couldโ€™ve come even sooner!๐Ÿ˜‚I can now sleep through the nights without being too hot!๐Ÿ˜‚
Is it still hot where you are?
