COVID-19 Vaccination: Miracle or Sceptical?

Apart from Coronavirus, vaccinations are next thing on everyone’s minds. But will you even get it?

One year ago, our lives remained untouched. We could go, see and do what we wanted, when we wanted. Freedom, in its entirety. We couldn’t begin to imagine, how our world’s would be turned upside down, and the way we live, would be put into jeopardy.

What did ‘lockdown’ even mean? Being born in an almost free society, you almost think that freedom is a necessity. You couldn’t possibly take that away, could you? Little did we know, all it takes is an order from the Government, and you’re in lockdown before you could even question it.

That changes your perspective of the world, and your life.

One year on, today seems like a paradox universe. Life has a different meaning. We can only go out for essential reasons, or risk being fined. We can’t see out loved ones, without the looming thought that a police officer could turn up at the door at any flickering moment.

Woman staring out of the window. Lockdown in a Pandemic

They say everyone goes through mental health problems at least once in their lives. Is it possible to have an international mental health crisis? As I assume, we’ve all cracked though these troubling times, maybe today or tomorrow.

The hope of lockdown ending, is an enticing thought at first. Then slowly, as numerous lockdowns encroached upon us, and our lives being firmly paused without any notice, the hope seems like a distant memory. The hope of life going back to “Normal” is now in the form of a vaccination.

These COVID-19 vaccines, promise life going back to normal and more. Usually vaccines take an average time of 7 years to develop. But with all hands on deck, these vaccines were developed in just a matter of months. Which leave many people hesitant, and questioning, what could possibly be in these vaccines? How could scientists develop effectively a cure for such a deadly virus, within almost record breaking time? Even I was apprehensive.

This had lead to a significant increase in conspiracy theories. One is saying it’s safe, when another’s saying Governments have all had a helping hand in an attempt to herd immunity, the list goes on.

So what do you do? Who do you believe?

The list of medications I take on a daily basis are as long as my arm. So how could I then be worried about possible effects this precaution for COVID-19? Every medication has side effects, and I would be a hypocrite if I take countless medications but refuse the vaccination due to the unknown being a reason.

Saying that, individuals in my own family have chosen not to be vaccinated, due to reasons that could be portrayed as perplexing. And some are in very high risk categories. Everyone has their reasons and shouldn’t have to justify their choice to anyone. But what would life look like if you’re not vaccinated?

Imagine wearing a mask when it’s not permitted anymore. How will you try and practice social distancing measures when everyones packing up places like sardines as the majority of the population will have a varying level of protection against COVID. It’d be virtually impossible to go on an underground tube, as there’d be no room to maintain social distancing. Even travelling on a train would be hard enough as everyone uses the walkway to get to their seats. There’s no escaping it, unless your planning on being at home forever!

STAY HOME. ESSENTIAL TRAVEL ONLY

If you have a newborn entering the family, you could be a risk to them. Babies can get the virus too.

It’s a catch-22. We’ll never be entirely sure of the future effects these vaccines will have on us, as there have been scandals in medicine and pharmaceutical companies in the past. Some will take reference from the Thalidomide scandal. They might’ve even lived through that and seen the first hand effects.

But there will always be doubt and hesitation involving medicines entering our body. I’d say it’s normal to question anything that’s going into you. Of course we want to know what we’re taking is safe, but in a pandemic we can all say first hand that we’ve witnessed control being taken out of our hands.

I’ve had the vaccine – the Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine to be exact. For the first few days I felt really under the weather; bad headaches; burning hot sensation; tired etc. Thankfully that’s passed (not looking forward to my next booster vaccine), but what’s quite funny is that my grandmother had it 2 weeks prior to me having the same vaccine, and she had no complaints. No side effects. It had me shocked!

The short term effects, affect everyone differently – you might feel as right as rain afterwards! The long term effects, we’re not so sure on, but we’ve been told it’s safe to take… Do you believe that?

Will you have the vaccine? What are you thinking? Have you already had the vaccine? Are you apprehensive? Do you not trust the vaccine? What are your thoughts? Did you enjoy this post? Comment below!

  1. Well put and thought out. Aside from all of this off the rails extremely unusual situation with regard to a supposed pandemic and some proclaimed necessity for all to be vaccinated; straight-out of the gate I don’t buy into it. Yes there is a conspiracy which was in the works for decades but it all got stepped up when the proverbial cat got out of the bag that our governments and mass media were deceiving us all and actually did have a plan to condition the populations toward a totalitarian mindset. This is a war and the majority of the peoples are the victims to these conspiring enemies who don’t care one Iota about any of us. Very evil and diabolical one would say by what I’m spewing; but no matter how I slice it or dissect the facts and events as they unfold I can’t see it any other way than that the nefarious and wicked, regardless of even religious perspective; is going to do nothing but harm not goodness for the world. I’m not going to take any vaccines, I never take the annual flu shots and allow my own immune system to fend for itself with sensible healthy living keeping it strong; but sure one day I will get ill and die like anyone and that is life; or how it will always work until God steps in to pull the plug.

Professor Bashara one of many top experts who opted to tell it straight is someone I believe. Here is a bit of his take.
This highly regarded Virologist in Israel all Professor Jihad Bishara, director of the Infectious Disease Unit at Petah Tikva’s Beilinson Hospital, has stated that this Wuhan Virus or COVID-19 is not as bad as the common flu which is much more highly adaptable and intelligent than this current one that has the world going into lockdown mode, which is way over the top as a preventative measure.

“I’ve been in this business for 30 years,” Bishara said in a Channel 12 interview. “I’ve been through MERS, SARS, Ebola, the first Gulf war and the second, and I don’t recall anything like this. There’s unnecessary, exaggerated panic. We have to calm people down.”
“People think this virus is going to attack them all, and then they’re all going to die,’ says Prof. Jihad Bishara. ‘Not at all. In fact, most of those infected won’t even know it”
“People are thinking that there’s a kind of virus, it’s in the air, it’s going to attack every one of us, and whoever is attacked is going to die,” he said.
“That’s not the way it is at all. It’s not in the air. Not everyone [who is infected] dies; most of them will get better and won’t even know they were sick, or will have a bit of mucus.”
“But in Israel and around the world, “everybody is whipping everybody else up into panic — the leaders, via the media, and the wider public — who then in turn start to stress out the leaders. We’ve entered some kind of vicious cycle.”

“He urged the public to internalize that “we’re talking about a virus that is not airborne. Infection is via droplet transmission… Only if you are close to someone who has the virus, and you get the saliva when he sneezes or coughs, can you get ill. And if you don’t then maintain personal hygiene,” primarily by washing hands.”
“He said the virus did not appear to be “too intelligent” — unlike flu, “which is very intelligent, it changes, adapts, and it infects people via their airway passages.”
“People can die from the coronavirus just like people die every year from the flu and other respiratory illnesses but that doesn’t mean everyone who gets it will die. As a matter of fact, most people will recover and move on with their lives just fine.”
“The mass panic and shutting down of society is truly way over done. It boggles the mind.”

Me Lawrence, I see clearly how we’ve been had and lied to as the leaders made many think tis damn cold virus is as bad as Ebola and the whole world is like some village in Africa where Ebola is infecting and killing off everyone that comes in contact with it! Hogwash and totally BS, we’re talking about a virus that has a 97.97% or better survival rate! I probably had it already with a couple of colds I dealt with but so, if I had it I fought it off and if I hadn’t and it killed me that would be how flu does the same each year to countless numbers of people around the globe! This whole thing is a weapon like a false; she said he said accusation, to control the people. Sadly too many just accept it like herd animals and get led around.
“Oh, what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive!” (Sir Walter Scott, 1808).

    1. Very sorry a simple but huge typo error that means a world of difference; “we’re talking about a virus that has a 97.97% or better survival rate!” Thank God its not that, it’s in the proximity of 99.97% or better! Typing too fast today and my typos or even syntax errors get insane when I do that! That’s my problem so don’t want it to be yours in any way. Take care!

      1. Wow, the figures are startling! I know all about typos!😅 Many scientists are saying different statistics or advice and it makes you wonder, why are they all on different pages? We know it may not be an exact science, but that wouldn’t result in scientists having polar opposite views. Hmm!

      2. You’re right again Antonia! For some it’s about big money and standing behind those that are potentially perpetrating a hoax means that if they stand against them they will be ostracized or grants as well as other funding will dry up. Like the WHO got cut out of the funding loop from the US when Trump saw they and China with others where lying and in cahoots at the outset of the Pandemic; about the facts. Now that the fraud Puppet POTUS Biden has been installed here he just offered the WHO billions in funding; as some would see this as payoff time for helping him become the fraud President that he is and to continue the same narrative for lock-downs and whatnot; “one hand helping the other!”

Also, some of the key individuals and Big Pharma made up of the highly corrupt corporations that are only profit driven, stand to make trillions off this when all is said and done so I don’t trust the authorities and big corporations with anything that involves me! You know the old adage “everyone has a price” and can be bought or “follow the money” to see where the Truth lies!
Hopefully some big facts and TRUTH will come into view sooner rather than later!

      3. Hello again Antonia! No sooner had I sent that last text to you when I got word of this other development which I will share with you and any of your readers by pasting the link to check it out! TRUTH is surfacing and some people are for exposing it while the nefarious are the ones subverting it! Blessings!
“New analysis from the Israeli Health Ministry concluded Pfizer’s COVID vaccine killed “about 40 times more (elderly) people than the disease itself would have killed” during a recent five-week vaccination period, and 260 times more younger people than would have died from the virus.”

    2. It’s so interesting isn’t it? I used to have the flu vaccine, but afterwards it would leave me feeling sick for days afterwards. Then I stopped having it, to see how I’d feel and so far fingers crossed I’ve been okay.

The issue with COVID is, if the Government(s) weren’t thinking of basically banning us from living normal lives without being vaccinated, for instance travelling, or even going to restaurants/cinemas, I probably wouldn’t have had it. As COVID and the vaccines are all very unknown. We don’t know the effects it may have in the future. But because if we choose not to have it, we won’t be able to live a free life, or as close to normal as we knew it.

It’s impossible to figure out a way!

I do think there are a lot of details about this pandemic that are being hidden away from us. And who knows how long it will be until the complete truth is revealed?

Thankyouu so much for sharing such an insightful view! It’s extremely eye-opening!

      1. You’re welcome Antonia! I do sympathize with the harsh reality of having to choose one poison over the other in this dilemma, that the leaders of the world have placed us in! Very scary how insane it all has become so quickly, but I do believe in Holy Scriptures and from that and my own analytical capabilities I see that the world isn’t heading to a good place but rather very dark and painful for many! But, being brave and trying one’s best in the face of all adversity is the only way to look at it!
You’re right; because the operative word in all of this is TRUTH! How do we get all of it in this matter one crisis let alone all the worldly major events playing out daily? But, we should keep looking for it, and only do our best in the process. One way or another I believe we all eventually will know all the TRUTH whether it’s while here or when we pass on!
Keep up your good attitude and faith as you are tying much more than many in my estimation!
        Blessings and keep in touch.

      2. Dear Lawrence

I have said it generally below to all but a big thank you. Truth and love. I ask for all the truth last year of the heavenly Father. and I received it; I just have to keep unlocking the doors that’s all and I will find it. Together with a vast army of those who seek truth also.

        Kind regards

  2. I think that this whole thing is just an attempt for governments to try and take more control over peoples lives and this whole shitty virus thing is not any worse than the normal flu 🤒 I think that for the most part it’s definitely propaganda with intent to spread fear and the media didn’t help things at all!!!! I think we’ll all be fine if we all stick together!

    1. Dear Highheelgirl

Quite correct, it the usual ‘flu dressed up as ‘The Covid monster’!

The government have been using it to help the UK get through the Brexit process and to expose the frauds going on.

And perhaps to see how intelligent or not the British public are. I am glad you are one of the intelligent/wise ones in this matter. We must help the unwise by sticking together as you say and repeating the truth in love. Hard work but worth it in the end.

      Kind regards

  3. I had AstraZeneca with no side effects at all! My NHS daughterhad the Pfizer and a splitting headache for 24 hours and so did her colleagues, but didn’t mind as they considered it worth it.

    1. I agree with that. As, if individuals decide not to be vaccinated, they won’t be able to live ‘normal’ lives. Everything will be restricted. It’s like a permanent lockdown!
So sorry for the late reply, and thankyouu so much for sharing!🤗😃

  4. My best friend is an ICU nurse on the frontline. I also work in a hospital.
She has been on Radio 1 to spread the word about what it is actually like being surrounded by Covid patients. It’s devastating. People are dying and this isn’t something that can be taken lightly.
I have had the first dose of the vaccine and I’m awaiting my second.

  5. These are great questions. Being former military, I can tell you vaccines are a normal part of life for me. I cant wait to get mine. As far as the lockdown goes, I think it’s actually a good thing. Let me explain. With so much going on in the world, I feel we all need to pause life! Reflect. Get to know each other again. When the world is moving so fast we often lose sight on general niceness towards each other, standards of behaviors and so forth. The lockdown is also a great opportunity to refocus on true friends and family. (smile)

    1. You’re right, making everyone quarantine is the best option for saving lives.
That’s the one upside to all of this, being able to rebuild relationships and put everything in perspective. What truly matters, and being kind is free but people choose to be unkind for no reason! I hope people have had time to reflect, as there’s no better time!

Even though I agree with people having the choice to be vaccinated or not, I don’t know if everyone realises their lives won’t be the same without being vaccinated, even if they’re against it. They won’t be able to live a ‘normal’ life how they used to, as they’ll ask for evidence wherever you go. Airports, cinemas, restaurants etc. The way you live your life will be halted. Is that worth it? Who knows!
Sorry for the late reply, Tony! And thankyouu for sharing!🤗😃

  6. I think it’s safe, looking up on what they’ve done I don’t think it’s a high risk thing and they make vaccines all the time for the flu

  8. A very interesting question that each of us are facing! I am still on the fence about the vaccine. My reasons for not taking it are very selfish – I have a bad allergic-type reaction to any intramuscular vaccine (I’ve had to have 2 tetanus shots in my life and they each took me to bed for a least 5 days!), so in addition to the potential side effects from getting this particular vaccine, I am very hesitant to put myself through that as a “choice”. I also do worry about the long-term risks of getting the vaccine, but I will be 65 this year so it doesn’t bother me as much as if I were much younger and thought about the long-term risks.

Yet, I want to be a part of the solution to this pandemic, and I want to be able to return to what will be our “new” normal, whatever that is and whenever that happens. From everything I’m reading through various sources, even completely vaccinated people can be carriers of the virus, so is it a true solution? I already know I will continue to wear a mask in public places even when the mandate for wearing one is lifted, and I know I will still social distance with strangers and not be in a group of people I don’t know where social distancing isn’t available. I only hug my brother when we are both masked up (we see each other 2 or 3 times a year) and I only hang with my best friend when not wearing a mask (she’s been vaccinated).

It really is a personal choice, and as long as it’s not a choice made on some conspiracy theory (I know of a male person who won’t get vaccinated because he’s concerned that the RNA will somehow affect his DNA and he believes that the world of science and medicine have an ulterior goal of demasculating men!), I support what decision each person makes.

If nothing else, what has happened in the US over the last 6 months has taught us that we need to relearn tolerance and be respectful of people whose opinions are different than ours!

  9. Although I hate to admit to being “old”, I’ll officially be a senior citizen later this year. That means that as a child I received the smallpox vaccine (a live vaccine after which recipients got cowpox for a few days – but NOT smallpox!), the polio vaccine, and the TB testing that was required to be allowed to attend school. I am old enough that there were not yet vaccines for rubella, German measles, mumps, whooping cough (pertussis) or chicken pox, so I suffered through ALL of those, and was lucky enough to come through with no more than a few facial scars and several weeks of missed school. As a female, I did not have to worry that mumps might cause sterility – my parents were terrified when my brother got the mumps! I was THRILLED when my own children had access to vaccines that prevented them from having those diseases.

Science has progressed exponentially – the fact that there are now mRNA vaccines, and that drugs can be developed and tested much more quickly than before, is no more surprising to me than the fact that the phones we carry in our pockets today have more memory and ability than computers that took up a whole room in the 1970’s.

I get my first AstraZeneca dose later today, and am looking forward to being a part of the process by which we get this pandemic under control. Let’s starve COVID out of existence!
