Spooky season is upon us! How will you be celebrating this bloodcurdling day?!
Halloween means glowing jack-o’-lantern’s and frightening costumes purely for the shock factor that immediately follows. There’s nothing like playing fancy dress once a year as a lighthearted, uplifting bit of fun!
Halloween is a close second to Christmas in popularity and in some households surpasses the religious holidays. This year, Halloween spending is projected to exceed a whopping £1 billion pounds in the UK, let alone in the United States! Americans are forecasted to spend a jaw-dropping $11.6 million dollars. Yes, this money making business has put a spell on you!

Rewind to when I was much younger, I’d buy the masks, fancy dress, spooky-themed lights and more. But once I hit teen years, I think I had my fill and the interest unfortunately wasn’t as prominent as once was. One thing I haven’t experienced is trick-or-treating, but possibly in years to come? My idea of heaven on halloween is either a little takeaway or a quick homemade meal to tuck into, along with snacks and a scary movie or two. One I recorded in advance is ‘Monster House’ as firstly, it was free and alongside that it’s a sentimental film due to recollections upon its original release in 2006 on a family trip to the cinema. And secondly, it’s not horrifying enough to haunt my dreams until Christmas! Yes, halloween is a borefest at my house, but it’s my fest which I thoroughly enjoy!
How do you celebrate Halloween? Do you take your kids or grandchildren trick-or-treating? Do you have your own spooky traditions for November 31st? Comment below!
And lastly, have a very happy halloween!

Happy Halloween day.

Happy Halloween, Antonia! I think that Halloween has always been for the children but there are many adults who go overboard with it too.
I used to dress up in a red devil costume, complete with a red pitchfork!
My sister and I went dressed in large black garbage bags one Halloween, I guess our parents didn’t have the money for costumes! 😂

Thankyouu, John! Adults most definitely go overboard, I think sometimes they enjoy it more than the kiddies do.
Oh my gosh, I expect nothing less! I have no doubt that the pitchfork completed the look by the sounds of it😂🤦♀️
You can do a lot with bin liners you know, I still very much rate that as a cheap and cheerful costume when used safely, of course. And it just goes to show it was just as impactful on your memory, no matter the price tag!
Sending eerie wishes your way!😊🎃

Happy Halloween 🎃.
As an adult, I just watch a scary movie.
I’m past the age for trick or treating.
I was just thinking my most memorable costume wasn’t for Halloween.
I once did the recitation of Mark Antony’s I’ve come to bury Caesar not to praise him speech from Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar for an Alberta Provincial Drama 🎭 Competition I was in back when I was in High School.
And seeing as how I couldn’t find myself a toga for the part, I took a bunch of old bedsheets and made myself a toga held together by a couple of diaper pins 🧷.
In the final round, one of the judges said my recitation was good but he got distracted from paying attention to my speech because he kept looking at the diaper pins 🧷 holding together my bedsheet toga together.

Thankyouu! Happy Halloween to you too! Aren’t we all past the age😂?!
Oooh that’s very crafty and imaginative of you! Haha he was just nitpicking, the pins were part of the complete look, purposefully of course. You won best-dressed in my book! It was a tough crowd that year!😃🎃
Sending spooky wishes your way!😊🎃

I got to make a salad 🥗 with all the leftover lettuce 🥬 and tomatoes 🍅 thrown at me.
Sending spooky wishes your way as well. 😊🎃

I’m that guy that hates Halloween….I’m trying to talk my wife into handing out carrots tonight and keep the candy for me…..love Christmas, but tonight…I think all kids under 20 should be shipped out to boarding school at least until they turn 20…

Haha that’s a great idea to save your confectionary stash but I’m not too sure your wife would like cracked eggs on the porch! Sweets are a good compromise in the grand scheme of things hehe. Boarding school ahaha you’re now the Scrooge of Halloween😂🎃 what did Halloween ever do to you? Increase the grocery bill actually🤣🤣
I hope you all had a fab time!😃🎃

Happy Halloween! I’m not big on Halloween movies or music, but handing candy out to the kids is always fun. Our son, his partner and our grandson all dressed up as pit crew members from the movie Cars. So fun! We may or may not have given him a fair bit of candy caring for him today… LOL

Candy is a must-have, they’ll be bouncing off the walls for days to come, parents included!!🤣🎃
So happy to hear you all had fun-filled Halloween!😃🎃

I was Maverick from Top Gun, lol 😆 it was a last minute costume. Had alog going on and didn’t have time to get the costume I wanted. Turned out great though. I absolutely love Halloween 🎃?
