Sport in July only equates to one thing… Tennis, surely?
Wimbledon’s an incredible event, the world’s oldest and arguably most prestigious tennis tournament. Home to tennis lovers and if you’re impartial, I’m sure after a few cheeky Pimm’s and strawberries and cream to tickle your fancy, you’ll be giddy for the next game, set or match? Mrs Predictable, nothing a bit of Hawk-Eye can’t challenge. Fine, tennis dad jokes complete, my lips are sealed. Let’s unfold the ace action!

This was my third Wimbledon visit, second on centre court. My previous visit to the breathtaking, spectacle centre court was many moons ago pretty much on the back row. Witnessing Venus vs Serena I recall resembling ants from the distance I was at! This time I was lucky enough to have 2 golden tickets, practically courtside. Thankfully there was a roof overhead as it was pouring with rain for the majority of the afternoon. Centre court and No.1 court both have roofs as you know how moody British weather can be!

So within the 14 first rows that include debenture holders – Debentures cost around £80,000 each and give you ownership of the seat for 5 years of the Wimbledon Championship. Pretty crazy experience, I know! I was like a kid on Christmas morning being able to experience that on this very special occasion. I mean it is July after all… Inside joke, refer to my previous post for the punchline!
First up:
Elina Svitolina vs Iga Świątek
Svitolina won: 7-5, 6-7, 6-2.
And last but certainly not least:
Novak Djokovic vs Andrey Rublev
Djokovic won: 4-6, 6-1, 6-4, 6-3.

You are so lucky!!! It’s a dream for me to get to a major! The Australian Open is probably my best chance, but Wimbledon would be amazing!

Aw I’d highly recommend any major! Australian open also has so much history and the vibe is unlike any other. The electric atmosphere the tv even finds it difficult to capture! Never mind the Aussie weather ☀️. Keep me posted if you manage to go!😃🎾

Was Djokovic the last match of the day? I wasn’t sure if doubles would be on but I don’t think it was on the order of play? If it happened I’ll be gutted!😂
