You make a wish,
Only to never come true,
Why, oh why would I ever want you?
A shining star, forever bright,
In sheer darkness, vastly opaque,
Were you always this cunningly fake?
Tantalising my dreams and misfortune,
No doubt if only you knew,
You lost me the first time I met you.
Puzzles, scrambled; this was always doomed,
Constantly jumping to your tune,
I’m most alive sedated from you.
Hot, cold – the regulation dictated by whom,
The problem honey,
I negated you.
