A Time Capsule – Poem.

A Time Capsule – Poem.

A lucid dream,  Sordid I now see, A calculated calibration,  Mistaken sedation, The soul laid bare, Yours, if only you cared. Memories treasured in time, As you rewrite what’s mine, Exploitation, personified. A new summer’s day, falsified, Pea smoke fog mystifies,  Programmed, I stay hypnotised. Rewired, who am I? What Does Love Look Like To You?

What Does Love Look Like To You?

Those three words. Overused yet undersubscribed. You say you love, but how can one know if you actually feel it and most of all, mean it? Dates, popcorn, movies, sharing a moment you can’t explain. Yes, that’s cliché, I have the t-shirt. But it's not original. The outlined tried-and-tested script. Indoctrination even, as we’re all [...]

It’s like a never ending marathon without a water station in sight. I’m parched and proceeding to dire dehydration if I [...]

Are You Worthy?

Are You Worthy?

Dishing out advice may seem far easier than asking yourself the soul-churning question, often either rhetorical or left unanswered. Am I worthy? Life feels like a movie. You pause, rewind and resume where you left off. Following another’s clapperboard is far easier than your own. Their narrative is easier to confide in than yours. But [...]

The Finale – Poem.

The Finale – Poem.

I did it my way, until I withdrew, Wires cut, I belonged to you, Blindfolded, as I bare my soul to whom, Message received, handwritten who knew. Glass shattered, as I sleepwalk barefoot, Hypnotised, bloodsoaked vendetta followed suit, Happiness, severing meticulously sewn through, The Glasgow smile carved out by you.
