Silky, smooth, hydrated, plump skin without imperfections can seem like a far away dream. But models achieve it, so why can’t we?
Water, Water and more Water: Skin’s an organ. Drinking an adequate amount of water is great for all round health as water helps in digestion, circulation, absorption and many other functions including skin! Average amount we’re advised to drink is 2 litres a day. Drinking larger amounts of water can also help to flush out all the toxins in our body. Some of these toxins can even lead to breakouts or spots. Consuming enough water overall can leave you having more plump hydrated skin. For me, it’s definitely made a difference!
Always Take Your Makeup Off Before Bed: I was that person who used to fall asleep in their makeup without any thought! But its actually one of the worst things you can do to your skin. It clogs up your pores and your skin needs to breathe! Makeup products have all sorts of ingredients in which you don’t really want as part of your nightime sleep routine! Thoroughly make sure your face doesn’t have any makeup residue, before you moisturise!
Moisturiser Is Your Best Friend: The absolute best times to moisturise, are right after you get out of the shower, and right before you go to bed! But try to avoid lotions/moisturisers with heavy fragrances as they’re normally too harsh for the skin, especially sensitive skin. Find a moisturiser, gentle enough for everyday use!
Fingers…Stay Away: It’s so important to keep your fingers away from the face. We sometimes find ourselves unnecessarily rubbing our faces, or holding our face in our hands. Unless you’ve freshly cleaned them to do your daily skin regime. Keep the hands away! As fingers don’t just spread bacteria, and cause breakouts, it can even lead to scarring. Also increases the risk of developing wrinkles and sometimes even the flu! It’s hard to get used to, but trust me the benefits are limitless!
Sunscreen 365: Many of us think we don’t need sunscreen everyday. I struggle to do this step! But it’s so important. Even when it’s raining, snowing, sunny, any weather type, our skin needs protecting from the sun rays which are always around every single day. Even if we’re just going to be in a car, plane or running errands it’s still really important. Daily IV exposure contributes to visible signs of aging, and more serious skin diseases. Try to choose a broad spectrum sunscreen with a SPF of 30 or greater, and should be reapplied every 2 hours to keep the ingredients as active as possible!

Try not to touch your face especially when you breakout I tend to find it makes it worse. Maybe a proper toner of cleanser would help 🤞❤️

Yes water helps so much! It’s definitely hard at first, drinking so much when you aren’t used to it.😂 But once you get into the habit, you feel so much better overall!

I use epaderm. It works for any reason why your skins drying ie, eczema or other conditions. It’s dermatologist approved and it doesn’t have harsh ingredients. There are 2 types. Ones more greasy, and the other is like lard. I use a small amount of the lard one daily and it lasts ages! Hope this helps! Thankyouu for reading and commenting!😊

Great advice. I have been doing these things all my adult life. I wear very little makeup. At age 59 my skin still looks pretty good. Good genes help, and taking care of yourself also helps. One more piece of advice, don’t smoke–it really causes wrinkles when you get older.
