Brows can be a mammoth task. Matching one another, whilst looking realistic; it’s a minefield! Sisters, cousins, identical twins, or it’d be lovely if they were from the same planet! With these quick and easy products, say goodbye to questionable, non-related brows and hello to natural-looking perfected brows!
I’ve been through all the phases let me tell you. Caterpillar brows, over-plucked brows, dramatically coloured in brows; the one thing I haven’t tried is shaving them all off. But I have attempted to shape my brows with a nose-trimmer that wasn’t even mine… I should probably leave that story in the past, shouldn’t I?
There must be hundreds if not possibly thousands of eyebrow products on the market. How do you know which one comes up on top and lives up to the claims it states? Whether it’s smudge-proof, waterproof, 24hr wear, semi-permanent or brush through and go; we just want something that works and works well. Is that too much to ask for? Of course not!
Let’s go through the top 3 products I use day in day out as using these in combination work like a dream. I’ll include a bonus drugstore alternative! Click the products below to shop, yes I’ve made it that easy!
- Anastasia Beverly Hills DIPBROW® Pomade.
Price: £19 – Click HERE to shop.
This is a fabulous full pigment, waterproof, long-lasting pomade which dries down to a natural matte finish. I’ve used this for many, many years, well over a decade as it’s so reliable and the best way to define your brows efficiently. Especially if you’ve lost eyebrow hair loss due to many reasons, whether that be illness, chemotherapy or simply choice. This pomade is a game-changer! With an extensive shade range, you know you’re in safe hands. When I tell you one pot lasts over a year possibly two, I’m not kidding (depending on usage). A small amount goes a really long way which is cost effective and you’ll never have the issue of tedious rushed jobs, like sharpening a brow pencil when you’re in a rush to leave. You can create natural or bold evening brows, you really are the the artist in control with this pomade. Note: If you’ve never used a pomade and brush, it may take some practise to get used to a new form of application and all round product. Everyday is a new makeup day!
2. Anastasia Beverly Hills Brush #12.
Price: £18 – Click HERE to shop.
This synthetic brush works in harmonious partnership with the pomade above. Firm bristles, but not to the extent of a heavy duty yard broom, trust me you don’t want to experience that feeling! On one side you have a small but perfect angled, densely packed brush; creating easy, natural, hairlike strokes; while the soft spoolie end blends the product for a flawless finish. I generally brush my brows upwards with the spoolie before applying the pomade so I lightly fill in gaps whilst creating a flattering natural eyebrow shape, almost sketching it out to begin with then filling in how I see fit!
3. Benefit Gimme Brow+ Volumising Eyebrow Gel.
Price: £26 – Click HERE to shop.
Where. Do. I. Begin?! I’ve also used this for a ridiculous length of time, probably a bit longer than the products above! Gimme brow is incredibly quick and easy to use plus it keeps your brows in shape all day. This genius tinted eyebrow gel is so buildable while containing tiny microfibers that adhere to skin & hairs, creating natural-looking fullness and definition. It’s simplicity is quite astounding as you can be an complete novice or pro makeup artist, all you need to do is comb through your brows with the small brush and voila! If you need to shape your brows, the pomade and brush additionally a must have. If your natural brow shape is already how you like it, this product is perfect for tinting and adding volume.
Bonus Recommendation:
Rimmel London Professional Eyebrow Pencil.
Price: £4.49 – Click HERE to shop.
A drugstore alternative I used religiously. This was my holy grail for so long! Long lasting, smudge-proof, I’f go as far to say it’s pretty much sweat-resistant too. The only reason I stopped using it was due to the limited shade range, but if you’d like a grab and go product which doesn’t break the bank whilst still looking effortless, this is your jam! It’s a game changer as it only costs a few pounds, especially when on sale you can find it for under £4. Beautiful brows anyone can achieve!
All in all, confidence is key. We’re all beautiful. It’s always fun and creative exaggerating what we’re born with, you’re the canvas. Detailing final touches of the masterpiece completes the artwork, which is you!
