A premium brand, will this duo live up to expectations and have me hypnotised or be a vivid memory?
Let me give you a brief backstory into these eyeshadow sticks. These are part of Charlotte Tilbury’s ‘Colour Chameleons’ but don’t get too excited, these two shades are limited edition. *Insert cry emoji here* There’s a wide selection of eyeshadow colours to suit all, from her permanent line. The pigmentation can be hit and miss according to the shades. All glide on, but certain shades feel like butter. Silky smooth on the eyelid and last all day. They’re easy and quick to use, without needing extra eyeshadows or makeup tools. You can blend until your heart’s content with your finger, but some shades can be stiffer to manipulate and patchy when blending. Dries down quickly, and when I tell you it stays put, you could get stuck in pouring rain or clubbing night to day! Brb, currently asking Charlotte Tilbury whether this is bulletproof…

If you don’t know me by now, you’ll know I love gold. Gold/bronze eyeshadow is such a go-to staple in my makeup bag. This gold is a slightly richer shade than a bright gold, muted almost. I could potentially do so much with a rich, universal shade.
Usually Charlotte Tilbury Colour Chameleons are £22.00 each, but this duo is essentially buy one get one free. Could Christmas come any earlier?

Was I expecting this to transform me to Gisele? Quite possibly. Were my hopes unrealistic? If you even thought about answering that, we’re not friends…
I’m not even going to pretend what I think of this. I’ve tried this duo many times, and I absolutely love it. Fab duo. I don’t get too excited about many make-up releases as products can be very similar to something you already own. But trust me, this specific gold is a very unique shade reflecting a fine, gold shimmer. Quite neutral, ultra buildable and so travel friendly.
The black shade really does amp up any look as it’s an intense black. No grey or faint black in sight! When I order black, I want black! Can be used as an eyeliner, but since these pencils are a little on the chunky side, lacking a precision to define your eyeline, I’d use it as an outer eyeshadow to take any smokey eye up a notch. Or a base for an evening look if you’re looking for more drama. Perfect as a primer for a sultry black smokey eye.
This gift set has recently been discontinued but it’s still available in stores like John Lewis or online retailers.
